- trees and flakes -

I have to get up in 5 hours, so what better time to blog?! I just finished up a careplan for school, and lets just say I'm feelin' pretttttty darn good right now. It only took me the majority of the day... and no, I wish I was lying my face off...

I'm looking on here to see where I left off last. It looks like our Anniversary? Wow... it was only over a month ago but who's counting? I'm sure all of you are dying to know.

We celebrated 4 years on the 16th of December! We celebrated by going to the Timbermine for dinner, staying at the Alaskan Inn, and watching movies. The past few years we have gone to SLC to The Roof and The Anniversary Inn, but I loved what we did this year more! There was fresh snow up the canyon and we had our own little cabin (somewhat in the woods) that we stayed in. They had sparkling cider and all that fun stuff. It makes me want to go back talking about it.

Christmas was chaotic this year but we both got extremely spoiled and were able to spend time with our families. I have separation anxiety or something when it's time to take down the tree and what not but after it's down I get over it quickly.

It was heaven to have time off from school. I was able to have 2 whole weeks off! I worked during all of it but it was great!

I'm back into school again full swing and loving this semester. I love my teacher and have been loving my clinicals. I was able to go in the OR at the BC hospital last Friday and watch a surgery/take care of the patient. I have a lot of homework (surprise) but feel better and am doing better than last semester... partly I'm sure because my last teacher was psychotic... but let's not get onto THAT subject. I've had a lot of people both inside/outside of clinicals ask me what type of nurse I want to be when I'm done. I had originally thought Pediatrics and work at PCMC, but I'm really optimistic now. I think ultimately it will come down to what type of jobs are even available next year, but going to clinicials has let me get a better idea of what areas I could potentially work in. I really enjoyed Same Day Surgery. We'll see! 1 more year and counting.

My sister turned 20 on Monday... yes 20. Freak people am I getting old or??? It's funny to look back. It always seemed growing up like we were ages apart, however there is only 3 years in between us. We have grown a lot closer over the past couple of years and I love it. Maturity maybe? No...... of course not :) I look up to her and admire her so much.

Well, I better get to bed. I need to update some pictures on here too it looks like.

Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying the last part of January!

Love,

Shandi
