-:- dinner -:-

"What's for dinner tonight? Hmm..." I ask myself that on a regular basis and I know all of you do too. The crockpot has become one of my bestest friends over the years, but for all of the love that we share, I under utelize it... Anyone else? So my friends, I stumbled across this book at the Cracker Barrel (upcoming post).
Flipping through it, there are some TASTY sounding recipes! And the best part? Like 10 minute prep time in the morning and you're done. I ordered it online through Amazon yesterday for a little bit cheaper than the store was wanting. I will do the hard job of keeping you posted on how tasty the recipes are :) Dang.

I found a few recipes online today that I thought I would share. This is what is for dinner tonight at the Martin's:

- Roast (click here)
- Glazed Carrots (click here)
- Mashed potatoes (click here)
- Chocolate Cake (click here)

The roast has 5 ingredients (the 3 seasoning packets, water, and the roast). Throw it in the crockpot, set to low, and walk away.

The carrots? I discovered that the Kroger brand baby carrots can be steamed in the microwave in the same bag that they come in (the directions were on the bag). The glaze recipe above sounds delish and easy. I'm just going to pour it over them.

The mashed potatoes? Okay, how easy. It is real pieces of potato... the work has been done for you! Washing, peeling, dicing, boiling? No thanks. Just microwave, add milk and butter, mash, and voila.

Now my friends, for the best part. Chocolate Cake. One cake mix and a can of diet coke. I put it in a bundt pan to make it look fancy shmancy.

Now how easy was that dinner? The best part? The hubs is going to think I am wife of the year... Luckily he doesn't read this blog to see I cheated and took some short cuts :)

Enjoy!
